“The Whole Brain Child – 12 Proven Strategies to Nurture Your Child’s Developing Mind” by Daniel J Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson
In my humble opinion this is a book that anyone working with or raising children could benefit from reading! I personally love the blend of neuroscience with practical strategies so you have both the understanding AND suggestions of things to try. It’s one I often cover at the Busy Parent Book Club and I know lots of people have found this book to be a game changer.

“The Emotional Lives of Teenagers” by Lisa Damour
Lisa Damour was one of the consultants on Inside Out 2 and she has worked with teenagers as well as raising them. She offers wise and sensible insights on how to navigate this stage backed up by neuroscience so you can work with your child’s brain development. If you have a tween or a teen this book is well worth a read. It’s another one we regularly cover at The Busy Parent Book Club.

“The Yes Brain Child – Help Your Child Be More Resilient, Independent and Helpful.” by Daniel J Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson is a brilliant read when you know you want to work out how to help your child make healthy stretches. If you worry about overprotecting or overwhelming your child this books explores how you can help your child to grow whilst offering the support to to this in a way which works for them. It’s got strong links with growth mindset and is well worth a read.
